Church Services and Times

We’d love to have you join us for our church services. We meet twice a week for a time of worship in song, bible study, and fellowship. Our music is a blend of mostly contemporary worship songs and some familiar classics and hymns. Worship is led by guitar and at times a keyboard.  Contact us if you’d like to be involved in leading worship, and let’s seek the Lord together on the possibilities.

Sunday Mornings 10:00 AM

Sunday mornings we meet at the Quartz Valley Elementary School in the Mugginsville area of Fort Jones. We’ve been studying our way through the Bible, we began in the book of Genesis and as of this writing, we are in the book of Leviticus, studying through from one to three chapters a week. The Old Testament was referred to in the New Testament as the Law and the Prophets, and it is filled with both law and prophecy. As we study the Old Testament, we look to find the meaning to the original readers, the historical background, what it meant to those readers, how the text points us to Christ, and then practical application for us a Christians today. The letter of Paul to the Galatians in the New Testament reminds us that the Law is our tutor to bring us to Christ, and so we expect to see Christ manifested through the study of the Old Testament, and brought to life in practical everyday life.

Midweek - Thursday Evenings at 5:30pm

Thursday night we have our New Testament study.  In November we began the Gospel of John.  As a fellowship over the last 4 years we have studied Matthew, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians, Phillipians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, and 1 Timothy. In the Old Testament we’ve studied Genesis, Exodus, and we are currently in Leviticus.

Child Care on Sunday and Midweek services.

We encourage families to sit together. We know that this is not always convenient, or easy. That’s why we have childrens church available.
